Chug thinks he's too grown up to listen to his mom's advice to be mindful.  He's in a hurry to get to the apple tree before other bugs do.  When he and Thug recklessly rush up the tree, they run into a bug-eating bird and learn a valuable lesson from their dangerous encounter.  The story encourages kids to be mindful, patient, and avoid being greedy.
